Thank you ... No Frills! ... This is how it is ... sadly ... with an empty shell running the US and all that brings for those who rely on today's supposedly super power! Here comes China! ... Jude
Many thanks for this summary. Trump is worse than we all thought: claiming that the attack on Sumy (a typical Russian double-tap strike ) "may have been a mistake" would be laughable if it were not so tragic. Witkoff is seriously out of his depth in this negotiation, with no grasp of nor background on the issues - therefore totally incompetent. Trump has never criticised Putin and never will. No wonder that Putin is smirking quietly to himself. But the Ukrainians have not said their last word, and if the Europeans get serious about lending support, they still have what it would take to wipe that smirk off his face. The fight goes on and with it, one hopes, the end of the minerals deal. He who laughs last laughs longest !
Thanks so much Julius for the great analysis as ever. I hope to drop by the 'ranch by the river' when you've returned.

Great summary. Thanks. And I learned two new words (that I can apply to this administration): hapless and callow.
Also arrogant ignorance. They dunning-Kruger kids.
